Values Assemblies
Values assemblies are held once a month and align with our school wide moral values which are peace: respect, kindness, joy, integrity, service, courage, hope and love. All classes K-8 focus on and study a new value and each month and rotate turns to present to the school wide community. Values assemblies follow a structure which often include songs, sharing of class projects or reflecting the monthly value and its importance in both our school community and beyond.
Showcases
Showcases are hosted on a rotating basis by the homeroom K-8 classes once a month. Classes present out to the school wide community and share a significant class project, curricular milestone, or showcase a performance highlighting something relevant to their current class community. Showcases are another important opportunity for students to collaborate and to learn how to speak and present publicly in a group.
State of the School
The State of the School is the most informative community wide event of the school year. The event takes place in mid February during the evening. The Head of School discusses the organizational health of the school and reviews the accomplishments and challenges as we move forward.
Back to School / Open House
Back to School Night and Open House occur in the evenings of early September and February respectively. Back to School Night is an opportunity to meet the TPS faculty and learn about our program from academics to extracurriculars. Open House is held during the admissions season and is open to the public. Prospective families are given the opportunity to tour and view the campus, while current families learn what’s to come in their grade and explore the future classes.
