New kindergarten children and parent(s) meet at the park to play and begin to make acquaintances with each other and their teacher.

 

 

Sunday, August 24                       
BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC
5:00 – 8:00 pm at School
$10.00 per adult (includes meals, beverages and 2 drink tickets per person)
$5.00 per child (includes meals & “kid” beverages)
Don’t forget your picnic blankets and chairs.

Monday, August 25
We welcome our students back to school!
Class begins at 8:20 and ends at 10:30 for all students.  Parents should plan to stay in their youngest child’s homeroom from 10:40 – 11:15 so homeroom teachers can give guidelines for the first days of school.  Primary students (K-3) will be supervised in the library and the students in 4 – 8 will be supervised in the yard area.  Parents will be able to give their full attention to the homeroom teacher.

Welcome Back to School Coffee will be hosted by Grade 4 parents.  Please join us in the Activity Center from 8:30 – 10:30 for coffee and refreshments.  You will have the opportunity to sign-up for volunteer activities that support our development and various school activities.  The “out-grown” uniform sale will also be held in the Activity Center.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 26, 27, 28
The school day begins at 8:20 and students will be dismissed at 12:30.  There is no after school care.

Friday, August 29
No School – Enjoy the Labor Day Holiday!

Tuesday, September 2
Regular school days begin: 8:20 – 12:30 for Kinders; 8:20 – 3:15 for grades 1 – 8.  Friday’s start time will be 9:00 am.

Monday, September 8
Hot lunches, Kinder Care, After School Care – ALL BEGIN

Wednesday, September 10
Photo Day!            Dress Uniform!

Friday, September 12
Grandparents and Special Friends Day 10:00 – 12:00

Information and News Items

Uniforms information:
The school uniform is required from the first day of school, August 25.
Dress uniform is required on September 10, 11, 12.

The Buildings and Grounds Committee, one of several committees that work with our Board of Trustees to oversee and maintain various aspects of The Presentation School, is looking for a few parent volunteers to assist with the work of this committee.  If you have an interest in “facility management” and have 1 – 4 hours per month to help, please contact Ramona Nicholson to learn more about the work of this committee.  Ramona can be reached at Ramona@nicholsonranch.com.
