As part of the health movement in our state, The Presentation School joins the State Department of Education in stressing the need for healthy kids. Please see that your child comes to school with a good, nutritional snack. We discourage sending sweet treats with your child for snack and encourage to send "brain food"...fruit, cheese, vegetables, and complex grains. It is important that you and your child communicate about lunches and snacks so that your child does not waste food and is able to have a good nutritious snack to help sustain concentration during the school day. If your child is throwing food away or bringing snacks home at the end of the day, perhaps you should consider changing the foods you send.
Children may bring their lunches from home or buy a hot lunch every single day of the week. Each month's menu is available on the side bar to the right of this column of type.

Letter from Ann & Tom Bassett Of Campus Kitchens:
Campus Kitchens is pleased to provide
lunch for your children several days per week. We strive to maintain
that balance between nutritional value, cost and insuring that your
student will eat lunch. The lunch component of a students day is
criti-cal to their growth and educational success.
Meals are
created each day using fresh produce, breads and ingredients, Trans Fat
has been completely eliminated from our preparation and we monitor
sodium levels. Hot Dogs & Corn Dogs are all beef, while our chicken
strips are all chicken breast. Portion sizes are consistent with age
appropriate guidelines.
We conform to the allergy guidelines
provided by the school's administration and remain open to any new
requirements that may come to our attention. In addition, we welcome any
and all suggestions for future menu selections that maintain a
reasonable cost profile and encourage students to eat during lunch.
Please
direct any comments or concerns to your school administration or
directly to us. We share in the health and nutrition of your children.
