Support Presentation through Events

Fundraising is the cornerstone of independent school financing. It is our school's way of working to contain tuition increases while providing the best possible program for our students.

Through strong parental involvement, we are able to provide one of the most reasonable tuition programs for a private school education in the Bay Area.

Each year, Presentation School's Development Office and School Administration ask our community to support our school in a variety of ways. We hope each family will consider its capacity to support Presentation's fundraising over the course of their years and apportion that support among the opportunities available. While this is a brief overview, there are many opportunities during the year to learn about each of these activities.

Imagine:  An Evening in Havana
October 22, 2010
The Presentation Imagine Gala and Auction is the premier Development event of the year attended by parents, friends, faculty and staff.  Traditionally held in the early fall, the Imagine Gala and Auction features an evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and a live auction, followed by a beautifully catered dinner and dancing. The Imagine Gala and Auction is a great community event and provides a significant financial return toward our operations at Presentation School. In fact, all proceeds from the Imagine Gala and Auction directly benefit and enhance the academic and scholarship programs of the school, creating an environment where our students thrive.  Tickets for this October's party are available in the office today.

Grandparents Day
November
The Grandparents and Special Friends Day tradition honors the very special relationship shared between grandparents and their grandchildren.  This day is uniquely celebrated with a beautiful paraliturgy, enriched by performances from all students from kindergarten through 8th Grade.  As guests exit the Activity Center, they are escorted to the classrooms where many grade levels will host a special presentation. Grandparents have traveled from all over the U.S. to attend this event... it is THAT special!

Holiday Home Tour and Luncheon

December
Our annual holiday home tour features a tour of beautiful Sonoma residences, followed by a luncheon at the Sebastiani Winery. Silent auction and a holiday boutique round out the day's activities.

Crab Feed
January

The Presentation School is pleased to announce the First Annual Crab Feed.  Proceeds support all Presentation School academic and scholarship programs. This event is a great place to meet your friends, as well as past parents of alumni.

Presentation Golf Tournament
May
This event, held each year at the Sonoma Golf Club, is a major source of income for our operational budget. The golf tournament includes a dinner and auction - last year raising over $25,000 through 100 golfers.

Each year there are additional fundraising opportunities. Families make special gifts in honor of a loved one, a Presentation graduate, a family member celebrating a special occasion. These gifts go directly to our scholarship fund. The school community also participates in eScrip, which channels a percentage of funds spent at retail stores directly back to Presentation.

Occasionally, we have other special funding opportunities that are announced more broadly to the school's community. In addition, the school parents of each grade sponsor activities to help build community spirit and school wide energy.
