A n n u a l   F u n d

Giving a gift to the Presentation Annual Fund, is the best way for current parents, alumnae, past parents and friends to help make a difference in the financial strength of Presentation School. This fund is the most important fundraising opportunity in the life of the school as it helps bridge the gap between tuition revenues and the actual cost of operating the school. An individual contribution, on an annual basis, to one of our gift societies helps the school continue to provide an environment where academic excellence goes hand in hand with personal attention and the character development of our students.


Donations from current parents are a particularly important reflection of their support for the school and its programs. The fund year begins on July 1st of each year, and it runs through June 30th of the following year. Gifts to the Presentation Fund can be made at any time during the year in the following ways:

  • Checks payable to Presentation School.
  • By submitting a donation online, click the "Donate" button

Considerations As You Make Your Gift Tax Benefits
Federal and State laws on income and inheritance taxes encourage charitable giving. All contributions to our campaign are tax deductible for those who itemize their taxes.
In addition to monetary gifts, contributions of appreciated securities, real property, or other valuables are welcome. The fair market value of securities or property is deductible. However, for substantial gifts of property other than marketable securities, the IRS requires an appraisal. Gifts-in-kind, estate bequests and charitable remainder trusts are other types of contributions that you might consider.

Since each situation is unique, we urge you to discuss various gift options with your family and possibly your financial advisor to determine which type of gift is most beneficial to you and The Presentation School.

Corporate Matching
There are many corporations and businesses that have matching gift programs to encourage philanthropic activities of their employees and retirees. In many instances, primary schools may be the beneficiaries of such gifts; therefore, your employer may match your pledge or contribution. Please contact your employer's community relations office, or human resources department to ask about your company's program.

Other Considerations
The decision of how much you give, as well as how you give, is personal decision that must be considered carefully. Financial circumstances differ for each family. We hope you that share our vision of a new school in the Sonoma Valley and that you are able to help us realize our goal.
