Curriculum
The curriculum of the Presentation School is designed to be
a total body of services and/or experiences planned and directed
by the school educational staff
at three levels: instructional,
organizational, and interpersonal. The curriculum is identifiably
Catholic, with a full awareness of the beliefs of students and
families of other faith practices.
The total curricula (day to day life of the school and its activities) are called to educate not only the mind, but the heart as well. The Presentation community creates situations and environments for active learning, emphasizing independent decision making, ethics/morals, and values in an integrated approach to education. The core curriculum includes, but is not limited to:
- Faith Development
- Reading/Literature
- Language Arts
- Mathematics
- Health Education
- Fine Arts
- Social Studies
- Foreign Language
- Science Education
- Applied Arts
- Physical Education
- Performing Arts
- Emphasis on Critical Thinking
The education of a Presentation School student involves development of each child's mind and body. Please visit our Academics section to learn more about our classes and teaching methods and visit our Activities and Sports section to find out more about arts and extracurricular activities.
