The Presentation School provides children in grades K-8 the best in education for their minds as well as their spirits.
Small Class Size
In the 2010-2011 school year class sizes average 17 students. The teacher ratio (including only credentialed teachers) equates to 8:1 for the current school year.
Nurturing, Spiritual Environment
The Presentation School provides a caring, safe and nurturing environment for our students. Teachers and staff are available to the students before and after school, conferences are held regularly with each student and affirmation of student successes and interests is on-going. The entire faculty and staff encourages the development of life-long learners who can grow to their fullest potential while pursuing a spiritual life.
Accomplishments
Whether our students participate in in-school or outside of school activities, the children at the Presentation School are affirmed in their special talents. Quarterly academic assemblies, weekly guidance assemblies, bi-monthly showcases, special theme days and exciting and unexpected "treats" are a few of the ways that we celebrate our students.
Athletics
Our middle school students compete in seven different sports in the Sonoma County Middle School Sports League. Sports and athletics are an important part of the curriculum.

Challenging Off-Site Learning Experiences
All grade levels benefit from a wide variety of targeted educational field experiences, an integral part of each grade level's curriculum. Below is last year's 8th grade in Washington, DC.
Performing Arts & Applied Arts Programs
The arts are applied to all levels of the curricula. Special emphasis on musical theatre creates many opportunities for student performance for large audiences. Our Showcases are designed to provide time for students to share what they have learned or created with their schoolmates. These Showcases, held on Fridays at 9:00am, are open to the community as well as to parents of current and prospective students. Our applied arts program includes the study of art history at every grade level, beginning with Giotto and ending with modern artists. Students study the history and style of three artists each school year. Our May art show publishes the student art work from this program, as well as from the other areas of the art curriculum. With the recent additional of dozens of new instruments, a dedicated music room and twice weekly instruction, our music curriculum is unparalleled in Sonoma Valley.
Community Outreach
Throughout every school year, the entire student body comes together to help people in need. These efforts range from fundraising to provide relief funds for Japanese citizens to coordinating a toothbrush drive for victims of Hurricane Katrina and raising funds for UNICEF.
Hot Lunch
We offer a choice of hot lunch options every single day of each week.
Kinder Care
Our kindergarten program officially ends at 12:30 daily. From 12:30-3:15, we offer parents the option of having their kinder remain at school for lunch, arts and crafts, rest time, and play. There is no additional cost for this option; however, this does afford the parents the choice of a half-day and/or a longer day kindergarten for their child.
Children's Center
After school care is provided by our qualified staff from 3:15-5:30 daily. The program includes play, snack, homework time, and games. This program is open to all students; the fee is $5.00 per hour.
Tuition Assistance
The Presentation School is committed to providing financial aid to qualified students and families. Approximately 25% of our student body receives some level of financial support. We do not discriminate against any student based upon the family's ability to pay full tuition.
